We love exploring around Juneau: the glaciers, the skiing, the politics. HA! Remember, tho’: everybody’s gotta eat. Same is true in Juneau and we came up with a couple of great spots. One, called Pie in the Sky, is a new find. It’s located on the water near the Hangar Restaurant. Proprietress Andrea Mogil makes a variety of delicious pies. I sampled the Key Lime Pie. Other favorites included a triple-berrie and a pear-something. “I don’t eat any of the pies myself,” she said, cradling a double-hot chocolate. “But I love these pies like my children.” You will, too.andrea.jpg

Hey Scott, thanks for the nice write-up!
Just in case you would like to keep your info updated, Pie in the Sky will have its last two days at Costa’s Diner on April 29 and 30, after which it will be closed for a couple weeks to re-open in its new, long-awaited and hopefully final location at least for a few years at The Canvas Community Art Studio and Gallery, 223 Seward Street, up the hill in Juneau.

Even better pies! Even better chocolate, espresso and various other drinks! Beautiful environment!

    -Andrea
