    This is what passes for a sale these days? I guess we’ll be staying closer to home for now. I remember two years ago AmericaWest had a non-stop from Anchorage to Las Vegas for $250 RT. That was a deal. I wonder how these new “sale” fares work out on a per-minute basis? Check out http://blog.wired.com/cars/2009/01/new-airline-pla.html

    Yep. We’ll see more sales going forward. I’m posting right now about a new Qantas sale from LAX/SFO. About $900 all-in. That’s a good deal. Use the new Alaska deal to get to LAX. Then, fly the double-decker A380 to Sydney.
