Sure, you’ll be home for Christmas. But what are you doing New Year’s Eve?
Head up to Fairbanks, where Princess is putting on a lovely New Year’s Eve soiree at the Princess Lodge, on the frozen banks of the Chena River. In fact, right now it’s (b-r-r-r-r) -28F in Fairbanks. Yup. Chilly.
Fear not–it’s warm inside, although I got “icy reception” on the phone last time I visited in the winter (right). HA!

Salad: Organic Baby Greens, Radicchio, Walnuts and Gruyere with a Dijon Vinaigrette (yum!).
Wine: Sterling Pinot Noir (ah, a nice Pinot!)
Main Courses (WHOA! Surf-n-Turf!):

a. Alaskan Scallops and Leek confit laced with a Saffron Lemon Cream served over light puff pastry accompanied with roasted carrots, parsnip and potato coins.
Wine
