KOAN Podcast: A moment with Passports With Purpose and Pam Mandel

The annual “Passports with Purpose” travel bloggers’ shindig is ready to launch. This is the fourth year that our loose affiliation of bloggers from around the world comes together to do two things: First–we give away a bunch of cool prizes. Second–we raise a gob of money for one worthy project.

You can DONATE here.

OKOKBOOKMARK the Passports With Purpose page and check back after Nov. 30, 2011. That’s the official launch date (I’m going to the launch party at the Hotel 1000 in Seattle. JOIN US!!). So the prizes aren’t yet up for you to bid on.  But FEAR NOT, the gnomes are working hard to polish up the machine for launch on Nov. 30, 2011.

One of our favorite radio guests, Pam Mandel of Nerdseyeview.com , called in from Seattle to brief us on this year’s project in Zambia. Listen up to the podcast and hear about her adventures.  Click throughto learn more about building a library in Africa. Learn about the other projects, too: in Cambodia and India.

Pam just got back from Hawaii. Or was it Africa? Antarctica? All of the above?? I’m tellin’ ya–the girl gets around. Fact is–she’s passionate about travel. LISTEN UP and you’ll hear why. And so are the rest of us that participate in Passports With Purpose. So this annual holiday-season project is a great way for us to evangelize a little about where we go and why…at the same time funding a great project.

We believe in the power of travel to change the world. Join us.
