My Alaskaair.com Life

I’ve been on the go lately–often on an Alaska Airlines flight. First to Ketchikan, then to Juneau and most recently up to Fairbanks (that’s me, pictured above, on the way to Fairbanks). There are lots of new features for Alaska travelers, including the view as we fly over Denali (right):

a. Flight Status on the go. On your smartphone, text a valid flight number to “252752” and Alaska’s robot will send back a current update. It’s slick.

b. Club 49: Don’t miss out on Club 49 benefits for Alaska travelers, including weekly flight sales and two free checked bags when traveling to or from Alaska.

WATCH FOR UPCOMING SPECIALS tomorrow morning, Tue., Sept. 25, 2012!!

c. New “Airport of the Future” in LAX. I actually made a video! Alaska has done a great job on Terminal 6.

d. Alaska Airlines Visa card. We have two of them at our house (one for personal stuff, another for business expenses). You get 25,000 bonus miles when you order the card–which is enough for a free roundtrip ticket. Actually, you can get an intra-Alaska ticket for as little as 15,000 miles. Plus, with each card you receive an annual coach-class companion pass, allowing you to bring someone along on your qualifying itinerary for about $110 roundtrip.

Perhaps I’ll see you at an airport near you this fall. I’m shopping for tickets right now…just a few more miles to lock in my “MVP Gold” status for 2013. It makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE. Learn more.
