This is a great trip from K2 Aviation and Alaska Alpine Adventures. You fly in a float plane about halfway up the Ruth Glacier to a lake. Then, you scamper around at the toe of Backside Glacier among the brand-new land (revealed from the receding ice). Check out all the new lichen, and shrubs that are popping up. The boulders are huge, the waterfalls incredible. You’re in the middle of Denali Park so nobody else is around!
