PRO TIP: I carry the Alaska Airlines VISA card from Bank of America. If you don’t already have the card (I’ve got two of them), you can earn 25,000 Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan Miles. That’s enough for a free ticket! Then you earn an additional mile for every dollar you spend. I don’t need to “man-splain” this, but…uh…the more you spend, the more you save. HAHA
BEYOND! Have you flown on Alaska recently? The airline is making a big deal about the new “Beyond” suite of features they’re offering, including:
1. The upgraded inflight entertainment using Microsoft technology (the tablet is made by Toshiba). The tablet has “early-window” movies, tv shows and music. Also, you can use it in conjunction with the Gogo inflight internet.
2. New Tom Douglas-inspired menu choices. I think I’ve eaten every one. In fact, TOM HIMSELF offered me a BBQ Sandwich on a recent flight. CHECK IT OUT (left)!
3. Check out the seats on the new 737-800s and -900s. They’re the new Rocaro seats that feature POWER (both AC and USB outlets).
