Erin Kirkland and I host Colleen Stephens from Stan Stephens Cruises. We talk about fishing, kayaking, glacier cruises and more–it’s all in Valdez. Over the 4th of July, Christy and I traveled to Valdez, then returned on the Chenega…one of two fast ferries in the Alaska Marine Highway‘s fleet.

In the studio with me: Melissa Saunders from the Alaska Native Heritage Center. Be sure and visit the center NEXT WEEK (Aug. 9-14, 2010) ’cause it’s “Respect” week. There is a new theme each day and they’re putting up the hand-carved totems on the Southeast Clan House. MUST-SEE!!
