All you Facebook fans should “friend” Rocky the Sea Otter on Facebook!
rocky

He’s a Sea Otter that was found in Homer, Alaska.  Here’s his story: “The Alaska SeaLife Center Rescue and Rehabilitation team saved me when I washed up on shore.  I am so lucky the Alaska SeaLife center Rehabilitation and Rescue team took me under their wing and provided me with a second chance at life!”

Learn more about the Alaska SeaLife Center’s Rescue and Rehabilitation Team on the page. Better yet, take a trip to Seward and visit the Alaska SeaLife Center this week! In addition to Rocky, check out Skittle–he’s another Sea Otter in the rehabilitation program.

Learn more about the eco-systems in Kenai Fjords National Park and Resurrection Bay. Learn about salmon, seals, sea lions, halibut, king crab–and all the seabirds in the area, including puffins and eagles.

Once you’re visited the Alaska SeaLife Center, you’ll want to cruise out and get a closer look at Kenai Fjords National Park.

Choose Renown Tours and their six-hour National Park Crurenownise. Check it out online and save 20 percent.

Your cruise takes you past big ice, right up next to wildlife and all along the dramatic coastline of Kenai Fjords National Park! Don’t miss it. Lunch is included–and you’ll sail aboard a steady sea-going catamaran, the Glacier Express!  See you in Seward!

Make your plans to visit Seward right away! There are two things you MUST do when you visit:

a. Go to the Alaska SeaLife Center. It’s right on the water and it’s the largest aquarium in Alaska! Seals. Sea otters. Halibut. Salmon. Sea Anenomes. King Crab. Giant Squid. Octopus. Puffins. You’ll see them all! It will tempt you to go out on Resurrection Bay! DO IT…see below!

b. Take the six-hour Kenai FjordsNational Park Cruise with Renown Tours. We’ve done this cruise several times and it’s fabulous. You’ll sail past h-u-g-e glaciers, with harbor seals relaxing on ice flows right in front of the glaciers. You’ll see eagles soaring overhead. Keep your eyes peeled for moose and sheep on the shore. Watch for sea lions at one of several pull-outs on the route.  Never mind the whales. Watch for orcas and  humpbacks! Throw in a couple of porpoises…you get the idea! This is a great cruise. Don’t miss it, particularly since it’s 20 percent off. Check the website for details.

Umm. I guess there are three things to do and see. Don’t forget to drive up to see Exit Glacier. This is a free attraction–and it’s worth it just to get out and stretch your legs.

We’ll see you in Seward!!
